Christmas in Talon …

… is always special. We had a lot of program throughout the month of December. The sports competition was very much enjoyed by our brothers. We had a peaceful and fraternal competition in all kinds of sports. Parties with youth and charity activities made the feast more meaningful. The solemn celebration of the Holy liturgy led us deeper into the mystery of Christ’s incarnation. On Christmas Eve we read the gospel in different languages in order to hear the good news in our particular mother tongues. Our Christmas party on December 25 had a very elaborate, colorful and joyful program. It was a very special moment when 12 confreres expressed their Christmas greetings in their respected mother languages. It gave a very alive impression of the cultural richness which is represented in our community. The creativity of our brothers in decoration, music and cooking brought are very beautiful atmosphere into our house. Maybe it helped also some brothers to overcome their homesickness and feel the joy of Christmas even if we are separated from our loved ones at home.
